Teaching to Service ratioEdit

Primarily teaching.

Other LearnersEdit

Only one resident is taken per rotation, either a Peds resident or a Family Medicine resident. There is often 1 medical student doing part of their pediatric clerkship in stratford.

About 45 minute drive from the north end of london.

Practice PopulationEdit

Primarily consulting pediatrics (ie. not routine well-child / well-baby care). Occasional clinics at peripheral hospitals in Listowel, Milverton, Seaforth, etc.

If you have time stratford has some nice restaurants, coffee shops, and the stratford festival depending on the time of year.

Shared 2-bedroom apartments across the street from the hospital. Rather sparse, but very convenient location.

Week in the Life of...Edit

What does a typical work week look like on this rotation? Edit

Daily morning hospital rounds seeing pediatric inpatients and doing newborn exams. Office practice with new consults and follow-ups from 10-4pm or 5pm each day. Approx. once per week there is a clinic at a peripheral hospital (ie. listowel).

Call requirementsEdit

Flexible - basically choose 3-4 weeknights during your rotation to be on-call and notify the attending that you'd like to be called that night. Weekend call is not required.
